Manja Reports: Our New Food Startup Captivation, EatSprig, and it’s Local!
Sprig is the dinner on demand, developing food startup and app of choice in San Francisco Bay Area. Sprig CEO, Gagan Biyani, is co founder of Udemy and co founder of Growth Hackers Conference. Biyani also wrote Lyft’s “original growth expansion playbook” (per our source, Angellist).
Backed by investor Brian Omalley, Sprig is bound to be the real time culinary rage of the San Francisco bay. Only live for about four weeks now (launched November 2013) they have great traction with average order 1x a week with a 70% user return rate (customer orders a second time).

As a foodie with food allergies, our biggest hope is that there will be a rolodex or data base of participating restaurants and producers that can accommodate users with food allergies. We would love to help you out with that! Manja on a mission!
Why are we so captivated? Distribution plan. Natural Viralty, Local Marketing, Paid Acquisition, prompt delivery, set up of local street team and partnerships. All we could ever ask for in a San Francisco based food app!
